CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Booking. Please telephone to confirm availability for the time that you require. I will reserve the cottage for you for five clear working days to enable you to forward to me a 20% deposit and a completed booking form. Thereafter, I will write to you
confirming your reservation and giving you the date by which the balance is due. The balance of the cost for the period for which you have booked is due no later than 6 weeks before the start of the let. In the event of a “late booking”, in that you are
booking less six weeks before the start of the let, payment in full will be required with the booking form.
Method of Payment. Cheques to be made payable to “Serendipity Holiday Accommodation” to give sufficient time for the cheque to clear. If less than 3 weeks before the let, payment will need to be in cash on the day of arrival prior to taking possession of the keys. Cheques and cash are the only method of payment available currently.
Cancellation by you. If you have to cancel your holiday, you should write to me at: Llangila, 9 Hillside, Redbrook on Wye, Monmouth. NP25 4LY as soon as the reason for the cancellation occurs. The day that I receive your written notification is the date of cancellation. A charge will be payable depending on the number of days before the holiday start date I receive your notice of cancellation. These charges are shown below.
Cancellation charges:
More than 28 days - Full deposit
15-28 days - 75% of holiday cost
1-14 days - 90% of holiday cost
0 days - Total cost of holiday
You may wish to take out an insurance policy to cover you in the event that you should need to cancel.
Arriving and Leaving. The usual time of takeover is 4:00 pm (subject to unavoidable delays). If you would like to arrive earlier, please mention this at the time of booking and I will let you know whether it is possible. You must leave the property by the time stated on your hire invoice (usually 10:00 am). We ask you to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition. You are responsible for any damage or loss sustained in or to the accommodation during your stay, along with any additional costs that may result—prices include VAT (where applicable)
